Roman Holiday - watched
Well, as promised, I have been working through the list and have managed to sit through Roman Holiday! I think this may be my favourite Audrey Hepburn movie to date. I am still not convinced she can really act as it seems her every character is this rather vacant girl who isn't really tuned in to the things happening around her... even when they have a direct impact on her. This is all well and good but most of the time I don't really see how it fits with the character. This is the most appropriate for that character. Everything about the fresh, delicate, porcelain beauty of Hepburn that has made Breakfast at Tiffany's so iconic is really much more appropriate in this film. The Princess of the fairy tale SHOULD be porcelain and perfect and a little lost by the events going on around her. With that, I have seen 70% of the top 250 of that time. Still got a few more to go... 75 Films still to watch: (Bold are on Netflix at time of writing) 52 Django Unchained (2012) ...
